Salisbury Contemporary Craft is delighted to be working on the second yearof Craftivate led by Salisbury Rotary Club - a year round programme of contemporary and heritage craft activities across Salisbury for all age groups funded by Arts Council England
Craftivate is a wide-reaching programme designed to bring creative making opportunities out of Salisbury Cathedral to communities by way of creative happenings, young people and adult craft courses and showcases throughout the year.
The programme includes professional development opportunities for artist and makers, with shadowing openings, makers seminar programme and the Big Craft Debate in partnership with the Craft Study Centre.
Early next year we will be celebrating Heritage Crafts Practices Restoration and Conservation with a programme delivered with West Dean College and the master craftspeople working on Salisbury Cathedral.
Craftivate has brought a range of additional making to Salisbury Contemporary Craft including a new craft workshop programme, a crafts circle, craft storytelling, maker films, and for 2017, the 'Made in the Middle' Exhibition in partnership with Craftspace.
